Having a mail server is one of the most useful tools since it gives you the ability to receive mail from other mail servers and allows your users to send e-mails to other mail servers. While there are many companies that offer expensive mail server services, you can just as easily accomplish your goals through a free service. With E-mail being one of the most important tools used in the business world, a free E-mail server can help your business grow in a much more effective way.

While many people do not feel comfortable running their own mail server there are some significant benefits that getting your own mail server free offers. The first, and maybe most obvious advantage to this is the ability to have complete control, but it is extremely important to keep constantly backup your data which can be time consuming. If have the ability to keep up with this then you will have the confidence that your E-mail data is safe, since you are the only one controlling its protection. Another advantage that you will gain is not having to follow all of the policies that most commercial mail server companies require. In short, hosting your own mail server free will give you freedom that cannot be gained any other way.

Whether you’ve just gotten a wireless internet provider or you just need a change, you’ve got to put a lot of time and care into selecting an email address. It’s something you’ll identify with for years to come so you’ve got to think ahead lest you choose the wrong thing.
Think Professional: You’ll want to pick something that doesn’t stand out to hiring managers, at least in a bad way. Try and stick to some variation of your name and stay away from anything hobby related like video gaming, sports or a celebrity you associate yourself with.
Think Long term: Pick something you can use for an extended period of time – you don’t want to have to switch all your email contacts a year after you set this address up. Things to think about are changes in a job or a name change, for single women.
Think Easy to Remember: You can’t remember a string of numbers so why would you expect anyone else to? Try to keep numbers and strings of letters in your address at a minimum to make your address easy to remember and recite.

If you’re trying to decide if it’s better to keep your friends in the know by email or by using a short messaging service (SMS) there are a few things to consider. First, are you only looking to stay in touch with freinds and family or will you be doing some more businesslike things? Second, do all of your friends have smartphones? Third, do the people you talk to have a strong grasp of text messaging shorthand?

Who are you going to be communicating with through your choice of service? If you are going to be speaking only with close friends and family a SMS is okay but still has its drawbacks.Confused? Here ‘s a little help . If you want to give them updates about where you are and what you’re doing at any particular moment in time but really doesn’t let you go into detail about anything. This means if you need to give them directions or ask them a series of questions you’ll definitely be better served by an email service that allows you to send longer, more detailed messages. And if you’re going to be talking to people in the business world email is essential. SMS is still regarded as unprofessional and as something you only use for personal communication.

If you’re friends and family have smartphones they will be able to view emails just as easily as SMS messages so there is no need to feel confined to the SMS. Also, there is no chance of the message getting lost in the sea of txt messaging lingo. While your close friends may understand your short GTG TTYL message anyone not familiar with the shorthand might just stare blankly at your message. With an email there is no need for this shorthand because you won’t be confined to a specified number of characters per message.

Which is the best way to stay in touch? I’ve gotta go with the email service. It is just as accessible, more versatile and less like to be misunderstood.

If you’ve ever found a website entertaining on the internet, you’ve probably sent a link to someone via e-mail. There are several ways to accomplish this task with the various e-mail options that are available. Some e-mail clients have a button, often with the symbol of a blue paperclip, which you can click to insert a link. A pop-up box will ask you to input the link location as well as the text to display. This makes it easier to write readable emails. Most clients will recognize a link copied into an e-mail but the button gives you the option to condense the link and makes your email look more professional.

Some older e-mail clients allow people to use Hyper-text Markup Language (HTML) for their e-mails. If your e-mail client allows this, you can use HTML code to insert a link into your e-mail. The HTML code for links is shown below:

a href=”http://www.thelinkyou’reinserting.com”The text that is displayed/a
Replace brackets with angle brackets (<>)

If you replace the http:// address with the desired link and write your text in between the HTML closing brackets, you can successfully insert a link in HTML format. For the less technologically minded, there is always the button for link insertion.

While there are many free email providers out there to use, and while many of those are easy and popular, it must be remembered that there is a big difference between business emails and personal emails.
Using a free email service for your business may seem handy, but bear in mind that for your own protect and your business protection, you should considered using a hosted email.
Having a business in this technology age requires visibility. And nothing is more visible than your name. And that means your web site, and your email. To show that you are a real business, it’s important to have your email after the be your company. This also is a direct to the company web site.
Another important factor here is security. With a hosted email, you’re more secure. You’re able to monitor emails within the company, and you’re able to provide backups, thus saving potential information should there ever be a crash. With free service emails, you’re on your own, and there’s no security nor protection for the business.
Finally, with free service emailing, you have to deal with ads. Ads everywhere. Hosted emails don’t have ads. They present a more business like setup for emailing, and they offer the company the service it needs.

Having a strong mailing list is highly desirable for all business owners. This is the main method of communication that most people use today, and having the ability to market either directly, or indirectly, is crucial. Getting new members to join your list can be hard, unless you know how to make it happen.

The number one way to gain new members is to offer them something of value. This could be something that costs you nothing, but is desirable to the consumer. You can find a quick rundown here This could be something as simple as a free ebook that offers information that is related to the product or service that you are selling.

You may also choose to entice them by offering specials and discounts that are only available to list members. Everyone wants a good deal, and most are more than willing to sign up to a mailing list in order to be included in members only deals and discounts.

Simply asking people to join a list no longer works. By offering them something of value, they will be much more likely to take action. By doing this, your mailing list will continue to grow, and as it does, your sales numbers should as well.
